4C’s Canned food Drive & Free Dress Donation Day

 

From the Year 9 Enhancement Class

We’re involved with the 4C’s which is an organisation that is dedicated to helping homeless and struggling families, every winter the 4C’s have run a Food Drive which our school helps support through the work of our enhancement class.

The mission of 4C’s Crisis Relief Centre is to administer honour, generosity and hope through the provision of practical aid to the crisis torn, the poor and the marginalised of our community and to help with emotional and spiritual support.

4C’s PROVIDES Emergency Finance, No Interest loans, Food relief [500+ tonnes in 2013] Emergency Accommodation, Furniture, Clothing, Bedding, Budgeting and financial advice, Debt Liaison, Crisis and long term counselling, and a variety of education, quality of life programs such as cooking, computer management etc. All this is achieved with huge amounts of dignity, hope, generosity and laughter.

Notes for this will be arriving in the coming days and collecting stations will also be established in the major staff offices around the school.

We will be accepting donations of canned food/non- perishable items/toiletries

  • From 1st June until Thursday 22nd of June (free dress day)
  • Gold coin donation or Canned food on the 22nd
  • Feminine hygiene
  • Razor blades and shaving products.
  • Remember to bring polish able shoes if you have wood-tech on the day.

Please donate something you can spare and help us reach the goal of 5000 cans.

Donation stations will be set up in the year 7 centre, the D Block Office, the LC2 Office, and the senior school office.
