Coronavirus – Important Update

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As people are aware, our community is coming to grips with the challenges that come with managing the impact of COVID 19 (the Coronavirus).  We are receiving regular advice from the Department Of Education and Training and measures are being adopted to protect the health of our students and broader school community.

All school measures will contribute to broader efforts across the community to contain and slow the spread of the virus over a period of what is going to be a number of months.

As of now, everyone arriving into Australia will be required to self-isolate for 14 days. This obviously includes students and staff who may be returning from overseas excursions or other travel.  Importantly, it also includes parents and carers and any other relatives or friends of your students who are returning from overseas travel. As they are required to self-isolate, they must not visit the school to pick up children or for any other reason.

All excursions outside the school will be either postponed or cancelled.  This means that the athletics’ carnival scheduled for Friday, March 27 will not go ahead.

We will to continue to rely on advice from the Department, when considering future school events and will provide updates as they become available.
