Ending her Junior Career on a High

Year 10 student Tegen Hyland has recently completed her junior hockey career on a high. A player for 8 years at the local hockey club Casey Cannons, Tegen was spotted and selected to play for the Cirello Coaching Academy, providing an opportunity to gain international experience. The College has recently developed a collaborative relationship with a 300 acre farm in Cockatoo. It was terrific to see how the VET Building and Construction students embraced the opportunity to assist in the construction of a wire fence at a farm. Last week, the College Chess team competed in the National competition held at Melbourne University. Nayook’s Rubicon Outdoor Centre – An unforgettable experience

Earlier in the year, 24 lucky Year 10 students attended a four day residential program at Rubicon Outdoor Centre in Nayook. Their focus was on Collaboration – Respectful Relationships and Character Strengths from the Positive Education movement. The Pakenham Secondary College Middle Years Chess Team have qualified in the 2017 National Australian Chess Grand Finals to be held on the 27th and 28th of November at the Queen’s College, Melbourne University.
