‘Light Painting Photograph’

These entries are from the Year 10 Digital Photography class. The photographs were designed and composed by the students and then taken in a dark room. The camera was set to a slow shutter speed and with their torch function of their phones covered with coloured cellophane paper they were able to create unique light paintings. Students worked in groups to co-ordinate the photographs and then finally edited in Photoshop.…

The Clothesline Project is spreading across the College

The Clothesline Project was created to bring awareness to the issue of violence against women men and children. For those who have been affected by violence, it is a means of expressing their emotions by decorating a t-shirt. After the shirts have been decorated, they are hung on a clothesline display. Pakenham SC Chess Team Wins Gold in State Finals

The Open Secondary All Girls chess team is the best in the State! Their consistent outstanding performance is a result of a simple formula: hard work pays off! The team continues to train hard, meeting twice per day in preparation for the big competitions ahead. In the most recent tournament, 12 schools and 73 players met at Doncaster Gardens Primary school for 9 rounds of tough competition in two divisions.…

Orientation Day 2017

Tuesday 12th December 2017 is Orientation Day. Students will meet on the green concrete area at the end of the Year 7 Centre by 8.50am. The day commences with a brief assembly at 9.00am followed by class activities. Students are required to wear their Primary School uniform, bring some paper, pens and pencils and lunch on the day. Orientation day concludes at 3.15pm.

Have your artwork published in Malonga 2017

We’re celebrating the College’s 50th birthday with an art competition! Two people will win a $25 Village voucher and your artwork will be included in the school magazine, Malonga.
