A Novel Excursion for our Year 11 Business Management Students
Students experienced a novel way to learn about Melbourne’s historic and contemporary economic stories. They participated in a two hour city tour learning how our beautiful city’s residents have responded to ever-changing local and global economic events over time.
The excursion starts at Federation Square and walks through the CBD discussing and exploring key assets including the lanes system, fine arts and sport, food, medical facilities, construction, financial services, tourism and international education services.
They discussed what makes a city economically and globally successful, how the physical city responded to people’s economic and social needs, how small businesses prosper, what the City’s global economic threats and challenges are including climate change.
