Regional chess tournament is back
Following the success in 2015 by the school’s chess team, Pakenham Secondary College is proud to host the upcoming regional chess tournament on Friday 18th March 2016.
The dedicated team use their lunch breaks to practice and coach new players, under the supervision of school chess coaches and classroom teachers Sergio de Lima and Christian Ampongan.
Pakenham Secondary College is proud to have 20 students participating in this upcoming tournament.
Other participating schools are:
Nossal High School, Lavalla Catholic (St Pauls campus), Gippsland Grammar (Garnsey Campus) and Melbourne High with 34 participating students.
New players are encouraged and are welcome to the lunch time practice sessions held in the Year 7 centre.
