Year 10 Elective – Creative Art

Course Description:

Students will develop a range of fine art techniques for 2D art forms, including drawing, painting, printmaking and also 3D art forms such as sculpture. Exploratory and developmental work will be undertaken prior to the commencement of art works. Art appreciation will also involve research, analysis and evaluation of art styles and art works.

Students will attend excursions to an exhibition of either an established Australian or international artist. This will help students develop an understanding of artists and their art works.

Students will display their finished art works at the end of the semester in an exhibition.
