Year 10 Elective – Photography
Students will learn the operation and function of a digital camera in the production of a folio of photographs which includes documenting the process through contact sheets and annotation. Students will study a variety of photographic artists, their practise, styles and ideas which can include landscapes, portraits and creative digital manipulation using Adobe Photoshop. Students will attend a photographic excursion for a photoshoot, visit an art exhibition in an art gallery and participate in a lighting workshop. They will learn the art elements, principles of design and how composition is used within the photography. Students will display their finished photographic works at the end of the semester in an exhibition.
It is recommended that students intending to study VCE Studio Arts complete this course.
